From the beginning to the very end of this project, I had a clear vision of what my logo redesign meant for the various elements of design Menards can use in their brand. The style guide manual, however, allowed me to understand in depth the importance of consistency and clarity for each aspect discussed, explained, and rationalized. My design process was challenging to say the least; trying to find a harmonious system of photos, copy, and logo usage was a long battle as my main goal was to keep the guide as clean and spacious as possible, as the entire point of this rebrand was to shape Menards into a more organized, welcoming environment. Working within InDesign also challenged me; I needed to learn new skills within the software to ensure the vision I had could be as clear to my audience as possible. However, this allowed problems within my design to be caught almost immediately and therefore resolved even quicker.
